New Life Discipleship Overview
New Life Discipleship department is designed to assist our new converts and new members in their walk with the Lord.  Our goal is to lead, instruct, and guide our participants systematically in exploring basic truths of the Bible. 

Course Info
Foundations of Faith is a series of classes designed to bring a holistic approach to Christian living.  Each class aims to progressively move believers into a deeper level of spiritual maturity and solidify their relationship with Jesus Chris.  Class subjects are:

Lesson One:  Salvation
This lesson is designed to assist students in understanding God’s plan for man, which is first to reconcile man to Himself.

Lesson Two:  Holy Spirit
This lesson brings a conscious awareness to the nature and works of the Holy Spirit by exploring His presence in both the Old and New Testaments.

Lesson Three:  Growing in Christ
This lesson explores Christ’s character, and challenges you to model godly behavior as exemplified in the biblical text. 

Lesson Four:  Spiritual Gifts
This lesson will help you gain an understanding of how the Holy Spirit works through you to build the church and edify other believers.

Lesson Five:  Spiritual Warfare
This lesson prepares you for spiritual conflict. 

Lesson Six:  Marriage and Family
This lesson discusses Christian attributes of those who live a single lifestyle, proper courting, and Christian marriage.

Lesson Seven:  Seven Dispensations
This lesson presents an overview of time, focusing on man’s responsibilities, his failure at upholding those responsibilities, and God’s grace given in response to man’s failure. 

Lesson Eight:  The End of the Ages
The lesson discusses death, the Last Judgment, heaven, hell, and the ultimate destiny of humankind. 

Successful completion of Foundations of Faith is contingent upon passing a comprehensive exam and the completion of a spiritual gifts assessment. 

When and Where:
Foundations of Faith class meets in the classroom 'A' in the Family Life Center (gymnasium).
9:30-10:30 Sunday morning

Who is eligible? 
Students must be members of Center for Hope and must have completed New Citizen’s course before enrolling in New Life classes.

Session One: January 8th – February 26th
Session Two: March 4th – April 29th
Session Three: May 6th – July 1st
Session Four: July 8th – August 26th
Session Five: September 9th – October 28th
Session Six: November 1st – December 23rd

Please note: No classes: April 8th, May 27th, September 2nd, December 30th

Can I join a session that has started?   
We encourage all students to experience Foundations of Faith in its entirety.  This course includes as series of classes with each lesson building upon next.  With such a progressive teaching method, it is best that each participant complete the course in a systematic manner.  Students are encouraged to attend Sunday school while waiting for the next Foundations of Faith session to begin.  Sunday school is offered weekly in the sanctuary, 9:30 am – 10:30 am.
