• Desetra Taylor is the wife of Bishop Larry Taylor and the First Lady of Center For Hope Ministries, a multiracial, non-denomination church located in Bloomington, Illinois.

A native of Rockford, IL, First Lady Taylor is revered as a wise woman; a role model, not only for women in general, but for Pastor’s wives as well. In ministry, she serves alongside her husband of 30 years. Together they teach preventative yet practical methods on maintaining a balance in the Christian life, specifically in the areas of marriage, family, and finances.

First Lady Taylor’s commitment to helping others is evident through her lifestyle of service. She serves as the Administrative Director for CFH Ministries, and she is the founder and visionaire of Women Positioned for Purpose. Frequently, First Lady hosts several women related events such as; retreats, workshops, Women’s Devotional Tea, Sunday School sessions and other events to empower women.

Most recently, First Lady Taylor established 100% Changed…, a discipleship program that encourages women to embrace a total transformation; spiritually, emotionally, and physically, while cultivating a more intimate relationship with Christ. The program launched in the fall of 2007 with 2 graduating classes of 12 highly motivated women. Since then, First Lady Taylor has expanded the program to cater to the needs young women ages 13-18, thus we now have 100% Changed… Teen Edition.

A soft-spoken woman outside of the pulpit, First Lady Taylor has a rare ability to reach and stir her audiences. As an insightful speaker, she draws heavily from God’s Word and challenges believers to apply biblical truth to everyday life. With keen discernment and word of knowledge, First lady Taylor disarms the works of Satan. With her hallmark question, “What’s the Truth?”, God uses her to set captives free from the bondages and lies Satan uses to discourage believers.

Through her years of faithful dedication to ministry, God saw it fit to elevate First Lady Taylor to a new level. In December 2006, she was ordained as a Center For Hope Elder, activating a new anointing in her life for healing and restoration in the lives of God’s people. Now, Elder Taylor celebrates this new assignment from God. She continues to strengthen her knowledge of God’s Word by completing seminary courses at Trinity International University and by serving within various realms in ministry.

In addition to serving in ministry, First Lady Taylor is keen on the business affairs of corporate America. After earning a Bachelors of Science in Economics from Illinois State University in 1984, she began working in the field of insurance and she has completed several designations over the past 20 years.

These are just a few noteworthy accomplishments First Lady Taylor has acquired throughout the years. Though great in their own right, she considers supporting her husband in ministry and raising godly children her primary accomplishment. She faithfully serves as her husband’s helpmate and she is actively involved in the lives of their three children: Rashod, Marcus, and Krystal.
