At Center for Hope we are committed to reaching the lost and ministering healing to the brokenhearted. With the love of God and a heart of compassion, we make every effort to share the Gospel that people may cultivate an authentic relationship with God and become a committed follower of Christ as instructed in Matthew 28:18-20:
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Salvation
The first step to becoming a disciple of Jesus is to believe that He is the Son of God; and to trust in Him to save you from your sins, reconcile you to God and give you eternal life. You do this by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Savior and Lord (Romans 10:9-10). In so doing, you become a child of God and a member of God’s family of fellow believers.
Baptism
Baptism is another important step in growing a relationship with Jesus Christ. At Center for Hope we believe that baptism is a public demonstration of an inner spiritual transformation that takes place when a person is indwelt by the Holy Spirit at the point of conversion. For this reason, we only baptize people who have consciously placed their trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Before a person can be baptized, we require each participant to attend a brief baptism orientation the week before the service.
Child Dedication
At Center for Hope, we believe children are a gift from God. It’s our desire to raise children of faith who will represent Christ and become the next generation of leaders. Therefore, we hold Child Dedication ceremony in high regard. Child Dedication is a public ceremony showing the commitment made by the parent(s), before God, the church, and their family. It expresses the parent’s desire to lead and spiritually nurture their child in cooperation with the Holy Spirit, so their child will develop a desire to love God and love others.
