Center for Hope International Ministries is destined to promote a natural and spiritual balance in Christian life and to serve our local and global communities in the spirit of excellence.
Doctrinal Beliefs
This doctrinal statement expresses the beliefs of Center for Hope International Ministries. Individuals interested or currently serving in major leadership positions are expected to be in general agreement with our doctrine as follows:
Inspired Scripture We believe the Holy Bible, which included the Old and New Testament, to be the only inspired and infallible Word of God. - II Timothy 3:15-17
The Only True God We believe in one God, in three persons, being Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. - Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 28:19, Genesis 1:26-27, Mark 12:29
The Deity of The Lord Jesus Christ We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His atoning death, in His resurrection, and in His future return to earth in great power and glory to rule over the nations. - Isaiah 7:14, Hebrews 7:22-27, I Corinthians 15:3-4, Acts 1:9-11
Holy Spirit We believe the Holy Spirit indwells and seals every believer, empowering them to live according to the Word of God. We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the edification of the Body of Christ. - Ephesians 1:13, John 16:7-13, I Corinthians 12:4-12
Fall of Man We believe man was created sinless; however, sin entered through one man, Adam, causing all man to be born in sin, causing separation from God. - Romans 3:23, Genesis 1:26-31; 2:7; 3:6, Romans 5:12-21
Salvation We believe that by faith in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, man is reconciled to God, having been cleaned of all sin. - Hebrews 9:14,22 II Corinthians 5:19
Water Baptism We believe in water baptism as an act of obedience to Christ in which public declaration is made that identifies the believer with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. - Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:3-6, Colossians 2:11-14
Holy Communion We believe in the partaking of Holy Communion to signify the body and blood of Jesus Christ until His future return. - Luke 22:19-20, John 6:48-58, I Corinthians 11:23-34
The Mission of the Church We believe the Church, which is the Body of Christ, is ordained to minister to the lost the love of Christ, and to edify one another in the Spirit of God. - Ephesians 4:16, Matthew 28:19, I Thessalonians 5:11
