Love is the heart of Pastoral Care Ministry at Center for Hope Ministries. Based on the Word of God, Pastoral Care is a ministry of compassion whose motivation is the comfort and love of God. It is a ministry of prayer, acceptance, encouragement, and support for individuals who are faced with the best and worst in life. Our goal is to minister to our local congregation and to be a living expression of God’s love through our active support, guidance and prayer. Our services includes, but not limited to the following:
- Healing Hands Hospital Ministry – Illness and hospitalization can be a discouraging and stressful time in a person’s life. We would like to offer you spiritual and emotional support during that time. If you or someone you know will be going into the hospital or having surgery, please contact Dr. Wanda Davis at 309.827.2009 or via email and we will have a Minister or hospital team member come and pray with you.
- PreMarital Counseling– As part of our commitment to building strong marriages, we require that all couples planning to be married at Center for Hope Ministries or by a Center for Hope Minister, attend a premarital workshop or meet with an approved counselor. The workshops are led by ministers, counselors and mentor couples. For more information, click here or contact Min. James & Retta Smith at 309.827.2009.
- Gatekeepers Prayer Ministry -The Prayer Ministry of Center for Hope involves dedicated intercessors who trust God’s power. Our ministers and intercessors are available after the worship service to pray for you. Our intercessors are updated daily with any prayer request submitted via our website or by calling the main office. We send a daily email to keep our intercessors current about the needs. Click Here to submit a prayer request or call 309.827.2009. If you would like someone to contact you regarding your situation, please indicate that with your request along with your email address and phone number, and someone will contact you.
- Bereavement Ministry – The Center for Hope Bereavement Ministry provides support, strengthen, encouragement, and love to our members who experience the loss of immediate family members. We serve through home visits, aftercare, prayer, and acts of love as an extension of God’s hand of comfort. If you have experienced a death in your family, please call 309-827-2009.
Pastoral Care Ministry also provides training for individuals who wish to serve in one of the ministries noted. For more information about Pastoral Care Ministry call 309.827.2009 or email.
